FAQs: The Most Frequently Asked Questions.
+ What are your rates?
Our starting point is the rates set by the Dutch Government, which are €2.40 per KM, €0.40 per minute, and a €3.20 boarding fee. However, for businesses and hotels, we work on volume contracts and offer special rates. We also provide a 10% discount on pre-booked rides. Pre-booking is from 25 minutes before your pickup time.
+ Can I use your services for commuting?
Characteristics of commuting include higher frequency and fixed addresses. We are happy to offer a special rate for this too. Please contact us for advice or a rate proposal.
+ Can I travel with Travel Electric to other cities or abroad?
Absolutely. Electric transport is increasingly an alternative to flying or taking the train. The range has increased (for example, 700 KM with a Tesla), you reach your destination faster, and travel more comfortably. We offer special, competitive rates for long-distance trips.
+ What are the payment options?
You can prepay with your credit card, or in the electric car with PIN, credit card, Apple Pay, or cash. You can also travel on account through your company. Due to the coronavirus, we request our passengers to pay contactlessly.
+ Is Travel Electric sustainable?
In 2011, Travel Electric, then called Taxi Electric, was the first to choose 100% electric transport. This enables CO2- and particulate matter-free passenger transport, directly benefiting the city's livability (clean air).
+ Does Travel Electric contribute to my company's sustainability goals?
In 2015, the United Nations chose 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By opting for 100% electric passenger transport, Travel Electric supports 3 specific SDGs:

- SDG 11 Sustainable cities
- SDG 13 Climate action
As a customer of Travel Electric, your organization contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Each quarter, you receive a report from Travel Electric on the rides taken, kilometers traveled, and the resulting reduction in CO2, NOx, and PM10 emissions.
